Marie Scully is a Consultant Haematologist at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and Professor of haemostasis and thrombosis at UCL. Her particular area of interest is acquired haemostasis and platelet disorders, specifically Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). She runs specialist ITP and TTP clinics and works on obstetric haematology, as part of a team that specialises in treating varied and complex thrombosis, acquired and inherited bleeding disorders.
Her publications include treatment and clinical subtypes, in conjunction with an understanding of the pathogenesis of the underlying diseases. She is involved in clinical trials, phase I-III, commercial and investigator-led and holds grants with the Medical Research unit, the British Heart Foundation and Baxter Global. Marie supervises postgraduate doctorates and am involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and regularly review for haematology and related medical journals.
